About the project
About
ZPrize is a Web3 competition created to attract developers, researchers, and teams working on high-impact cryptography and blockchain challenges.
I worked on the brand identity and website, from visual direction through product structure and delivery.
Problem
The brand needed to feel credible to a highly technical audience while remaining distinctive, optimistic, and accessible.
The website also needed to communicate dense information about challenges, participation, sponsors, and results without feeling like another generic crypto initiative.
Key decisions
Used typography as the primary brand device to create authority and recognition.
Avoided familiar crypto visual clichés in favour of a more credible technical identity.
Used direct messaging and clear information hierarchy to make complex competition content easier to navigate.
Built a flexible visual system using typography, line work, graphic marks, and modular layouts.
Created reusable patterns that could extend across the website and supporting communication materials.
Outcome
The project established a distinctive identity and website that communicated ZPrize’s technical credibility, ambition, and mission clearly.
