About the project

About

Rulebook is a prediction-market research prototype that helps traders understand market wording, resolution criteria, and edge cases before entering a position.

Problem

A trader can correctly predict the underlying event and still lose because they misunderstood how the market was worded or resolved.

Critical rules are often buried in long descriptions and disconnected from the trading decision.

Key decisions

  • Separated what counts, what does not, the resolution source, and potential ambiguity.

  • Allowed users to compare similar markets and identify meaningful differences in wording.

  • Added a thesis check before entering a position.

  • Turned dense resolution rules into a structured decision-making layer.

  • Kept the interface focused on interpretation rather than reproducing a full trading terminal.

Outcome

The prototype demonstrates how prediction-market rules can become a usable research tool rather than hidden supporting text.
